Building Technology III
Synopsis
This course provides students with a fundamental knowledge of Architectural Construction Methods and technology.
Students will learn about the basics of load transfer in buildings, the way structural systems differ in strengths and weaknesses.

This course integrates with the Architectural Design Studio.

Learning Outcomes
By the end the course students will:

CLO1
able to differentiate two types of structural systems used in the building industry (Long Span & IBS system) (C4,PL02)
​
CLO2
Students will be able to demonstrate applications used for long span structures and the processes of production, transportation of used for related materials for the IBS complex buildings (P5, A3)
​
CLO3
Students will be able to display and explain integration of chosen long span construction systems learned onto concurrent their studio design work (A5, P2)
